I'm sending you a pill bottle full of these to try in your BEE (along with the K-hornet brass) if you dare. Just a silly raw clip I just made a few minutes ago. Hard to work and hold a phone though.

I pulled this off and they work well. I'd show the bar of pink soap but the .218 BEE blew it all over the pasture!

For entertainment purposes only...

Since it "just for Huey I watched it with my eyes closed.

Neat idea, I'm going to make one and try it.

Simple concept but some things to consider

You want the die body to support the bullet so it won't tilt. Lots of adj. there. The little rod I made is sort of "timed" to run flush about the same depth that the tip bottoms on the bullet nose. I found a little nub with an abrupt flat face worked best. No need to drill a deep hole, just a weakening of the nose and alteration of the frontal area.

I tried to make the rod body the same OD as the die ID but brass is grabby on the lathe (or drill/grinder) and that tape added another element of keeping things straight. I've made 400-500 HP bullets doing that with the one rod and tape!

With other calibers the area of bullet support and sullet style all play a factor. The .22 cal is generous compared to other calibers that may have a very shallow support band in the die. The die was never made to do that. Perhaps a modification of a FL sizer could do the same if you had a suitable made pusher for the press and bullet to sit atop.

Sounds like my next lathe project.
