Looking for opinions from the guy's. 357max and 414 super mag.1 each in Gary's stretch frame revolvers or, 1 each in an encore frame, and having Gary build the barrels. Or 2 encore frames,1 for each caliber. Thx for the time.
For me at least, revolvers are more

Finicky than Contenders to reload for. I often have rounds that are too hot or overcrimped or seated to far out etc etc.. The Encore and G2 barrels seem much more forgiving for my "Oops" reloads.
So buy both

Ruger 357 Maximum at Gary's shop and I'm trying to decide between converting it to either a 41GNR#2, 414SM, 411GNR or a 375GNR. Just can't make up my mind, but leaning towards the tried and true 41GNR#2 made on the 445SM brass...much more power capability than the 414SM. Sometimes it is tough making these decision....too many possibilities.
I have to agree with Woody. The 41 GNR#2 is a better choice

if you plan to hunt. I have taken a lot of 1500 to 2000 lb critters with it, most with one shot at the celebrity Handgun Hunt and all in a revolver. Plus it uses easy to find 445 SM brass.

Right now I have 2 of Gary's contender barrels in 41GNR. I have a 14 inch 414 supermag contender and a 15 inch ported encore in 414 supermag.
Also have a 414 supermag dan Wesson and a 41 gnr dan Wesson. Then there is the ruger hunter in 41 gnr that I just picked up today to go with the 41gnr bisley hunter that Gary made me Christmas 2015. I hope to get a day off and shoot all these over the chrono in a single setting and video it. Some may find it interesting.
Forgot to mention that this new gun looks awesome.
