we had a lioness stalking us for 2 or 3 days

in a row. She was maybe 30 feet to our side in high yellow grass. I kept seeing her tail twitching and asked John about it. We stopped and he watched for a few minutes and said she was an old lioness, probably too old to hunt. That night he called the people in charge to see if we could take her out. It took 2 days for them to answer and that ended up being the next to the last day. She was maybe 2 miles from the camp so they hung up he hindquarters of a giraffe they found dead to see if we could get her to come in, but had no luck. John said later one of his other hunters after us got her. She was so old she had hardly no teeth and was skin & bones. To her people were a better choice for lunch.

the next day I got a cat that was almost as big...
