the Walther PPK S in 22lr. Wife is interested in carrying and not interested in a model 10 smith. Any input would be appreciated. probably be pretty good close up with Gary's flat top tool on the cartridges.

Thanks, Steve

QUITE WELL; BETTER THAN THE RUGER SR22. A .22 ONE CAN SHOOT IS MUCH BETTER THAN A .380 ONE CANNOT HANDLE.

I had a friend's Bersa .22 for a while.

It was about the same size as a Walther PPKs. All metal. Other than the silver colored sights, although they had red accents, it shot fine for me. Nice little pistol with lots of value. I think it was a satin nickel finish. Wood grips too.

That's a thought, the new ones look pretty well made.

My wife NEEDED to pick her own gun. Based upon her comfort and preferences. She has some unnatural panache to walk up to a display and say "I like that one, the Korth...". But given reasonable limits I let her go. She HATES Sig and Glock, so go figure. Of all things she likes the Beretta 92!

My wife's carry is a 2" J-frame but her house gun is a 3" 657 .41 Magnum. She prefers Serria or Hornady 170/210 gr. JHP's ahead of a case full of H110. Go figure.

You didn't buy her a Korth??

I purchased one of these about 6 months ago. First you need to know it is 'old school', no slide release, magazine must be dropped a bit to lower slide once locked back. It has a hammer drop safety. Serious carry may be compromised a bit because there is no "cocked and locked", so hammer would be down. Double action is at least 15 to 20 pounds on mine, and takes a huge effort to get first shot off with any accuracy. Single action is very nice. Pistol is very accurate, comes with 2 extra front sight blades easily changed to get elevation right. It uses 10-round magazines. Barrel is threaded for a can and comes with a covering sleeve and wrench for removal. Overall, it is a very nice pistol but would take serious consideration as a primary carry gun.

Beretta 21 Bobcat or Taurus PT 22?

Both nice little guns. The Taurus with polymer frame is real light and shoots well. 8 rnd mag +1. I have one that I bought for going to the community swimming pool with the kids. (I put it in a zip lock baggie and stuff it in the pocket of my swim trunks.... ) The spousal support unit uses it daily around the house, taking the dog out etc. instead of taking her 9mm out of her purse.

Really like my Taurus PT22

It matches my scuba gear! I really have taken this thing swimming dozens of times. I go no where without at least something. Get home, down load it, air dry , a little Rem oil and a wipe. The polymer version is super light, 12.3 oz fully loaded. Eats anything, even flat points via the Reeder flat nose tool. I was at a local gun show and was looking at this. The guy at the booth is a local, said he had a bet with his father in law boss that this particular gun would never sell due to the frame color, I even got him to throw in an extra mag. I should have bought two because every time I go looking for it the wife has it. She frequently carries it in a pocket holster as a back up to her 9mm.

where they have a good supply of small caliber pistols and let her choose what is right for her. You picking out a gun for her would be like picking out her shoes...not a good idea.

We did, and she liked the Bersa JT recommended, but they

Only had the 380. Same size, so she got to handle it.
Did not seem to interested in trying to find one in 22lr
So am now looking.
Thanks again for the feedback.
