I think Gary just paid you a compliment. I think.

That makes about as much sense as re-electing Biden

2000 FPS in a 22" barrel. If I read the reloading books right I can get a 240 grain 44 mag out of a 22" barrel at about the same speed. And look at the list of guns you can't put that round in. Silly.

It will appeal to certain states….

…where only straight walled cartidges are legal to hunt deer, and peole are silly enough to pay too much for a copper bullet.

My preference is a 260 wide flat nose cast from 1/2 wheel weights and 1/2 pure lead with a dash of tin…:-D

This 357 ammo is interesting...

I would not use it on game or for carry

unless I figured I was gonna have to shoot through body armor or get some super deep penetration.

The nose of the bullet is the working end. That's what does all the damage in flesh. The "wadcutter" part of the bullet does not open the wound channel. It cuts nice holes in paper.

All the tests that prove this were done years ago.

Would be fun shooting some water jugs ,

Their 165 gr hardcast load looks like a decent hunting load.

Yes it would. You can do it with handloads.

One of my .357 loads:

125 gr. Gold Dot JHP 21.5 gr. H110
24" Rossi leveraction = 2317 fps
7 1/2" Armi San Marco single action = 1612 fps

Winchester tried that years ago with their 357

Some news media tried to start calling it the "Cop Killer" bullet. It didn't catch on but Winchester dropped it shortly after that. That new bullet is hard cast while the Winchester is FMJ.

I had some of those. I tried shooting a car engine.

An old Chevy 6 cylinder. I was 15 and heard on the news that these would penetrate a car engine. I shot the engine from about 6 feet away and the bullet came back past my head at full velocity. If it was 6 inches closer I'd have been dead. That was when I first started learning to never trust the News.
