seed cores are showing "Spoons" rather than knives or forks. A traditional indicator of our winter's in the south. Big spoons mean heavier or more frequent snows. Snows I can manage and they are pretty. ICE where you can't even get into your car door or stand to open the door are another matter totally. Real tricky!

my grandmother had all kinds of things that told her whether

we were going to have a cold snowy winter or a warm dry winter. She would have me bring any male squirrel I killed to her before I skinned it. If the squirrel had heavy fur around his balls it meant we had a cold wet winter coming. If the squirrel had little or no fur around his balls it was going to be a warm dry winter. She would check 8 or 10 squirrels before she made the decision.
I don't remember if she was right or not. I just remember how she made her decision. I wonder what she would say if she saw my house a winter or three ago.

On everything, and a 4-5 car pile up where nobody can go anywhere but the ditch. Even in an AWD it’s a trick to dodge the nuts. I have to fetch and ferry employees for shifts. It’s a danger just to walk out and get to a vehicle.

But snow THAT deep. I have no idea how to function.

400 Miles N if you, about 4” on the ground

But it’s melting off now. It will be 40’s and rainy for a week, so it will be green again in a couple days.
