There was a case on the range at the HHC that we couldn't identify. Any idea? I suspect it may be in the 8mm mauser range but I might be way off.

See picture below. Headstamp "nny" (although I don't think its English) and "1977".

could the NNY be cyrillic (Russian} for PPY?

that is possible as the 7.62 X 54 is a Russian cartridge
