I got rid of the prophylactic grips!

The rubber grips were a quick fix for a gripless gun, but I have never liked them. Too thick for me. They cover the backstrap of the grip frame and increase the distance to the trigger. And they are rubber!

I managed to snag a set of factory grips for the round butt Model 10 and with the Tyler T-Grip it feels natural to me. Points better. Hides under my shirt better.

I know there are folks who love the prophylactic grips and that is fine. They are just not for me.

I like the retro look...

My 3" round butt 64. It also had the gaudy rubber grips on it. I threw some on i had laying around. It needs a good set of grips. I like the T-grip also.

They make the T-Grip in different colors..

Just find you some grips you like. I too prefer the factory minimal grips with open backstrap and under grip filler. Pachmayr and Mershon both marketed the same copy of the T-grip with no finger grooves. Usually they are less expensive. You see them on Ebay some. Alas, guys are discovering them too. I used to buy T-grips, trigger shoes, and Pachmayr fillers for 25 cents to a dollar each at gunshows. Now some models of T-grips can fetch $60+ in the right market.

They were going to market a trigger shoe for the Encore or G2 (a very safe and practical application, more so than other platforms) but it may have fallen wayside. Trigger shoes are still in vogue with Trap Shooters.
