Facing Down A Crisis

But a country boy can survive!
When I got up this AM there was no coffee on! My son-in-law who rises early usually makes it. I asked, "No coffee?" Well it seems the fancy coffee-maker was clogged up with minerals from the water and would not drip!

They offered me tea.
TEA!
If I recall rightly we fought a war so we wouldn't have to drink tea.

I got out a pan, filled it with water, dumped in a bunch of coffee and put it on to boil. In a few minutes I had a nice batch of cowboy coffee. Hot as hell, black as sin and strong enough to float a horseshoe.

And all is right in my little world!

He got interested in the Black Gun Coffee Co. Then he came in with a Keurig coffee making thing. It brews a normal pot or you use these expensive little pods at about $50-60 cents a cup. But I guess you get that fancy $5 a cup boutique stuff with them at home for 50 cents.

The coffee is pretty good, smooth without a nasty bite. Some might like that nasty bite, fuzz on the back of the tongue thing. It's very much subjective. But a couple cups to start a day is moderate enough, and I really enjoy it. Bushes my tail out and gives me a good running start.

Try the Illy K-cups - extra bold

It is really good stuff. Browse their website for monoarabica products as well. The Brazil stuff is good and forte while the Ethiopia product is quite mild with chocolate notes. They have other choices from Guatemala and other central American countries. I think I even saw a product from India. Some of it is special run. I waited a long time for them to get K-Cups. I start the day with extra bold, straight, hot and black, and hit the afternoon with the same with a bit of milk and sugar. I'm on an automatic shipment program. When I'm forced to drink some of the popular domestic stuff the difference is obvious. You won't regret your decision to go with Illy. I served some in a hunting camp once and the guys all raved about it.

Would be good made in this.

the K-Cups are good for 2 cups unless you like it pitch black and bitter. But i can get 2 good cups out of each K-cups. I often drink 10 cups a day so I don't need it bitter with a strong bite. I like to enjoy my coffee.
