I had a lot of email that has been automatically re-directed to the "SPAM" folder in my Yahoo account. Many of them were conservative political topics (honestly the only kind I have but still). Also what really miffed me were many emails from friends that had firearm related links attached or in them. How did it suddenly get switched to my spam folder? I did not do it.

Check your SPAM folders, I seldom do. I'll check it from now on!

Verizon, AOL, or Yahoo email account contents are scanned for advertising opportunities.

Advertising opportunities could easily involve "misrouting" inbound emails.
