Anyone work up and willing to share Hornady Leverevolution recipies for the 30 gnr? Preferably for 150 gr bullets.

On a side note, just fire formed a bunch a brass in my new 14 inch 30 gnr contender barrel using 150gr rem corelock 30-30's I'd reloaded years ago. After sighting in, and taking my time, my first 2 consecutive groups were just a hair over 1 1/2 inch and a hair under 2 inches respectively at 100 yrs. Shoots better than my 70's Winchester 94. I was grinning ear to ear. Awesome barrel, Gary!

I can't seem to find my load data

My son got a .30 GNR barrel at HHC and we made him a fine hunting handgun. It's totally his rig and he took a nice Hawaiian Ram with it using a 150 gr. Nosler Ballistic tip. It seems with our gun the velocity always hovers around 2400 fps no matter the powder, with a 150 gr. or so bullet. It's not really magic, it just works. The accuracy is so good I nee no reason to try to make it go faster and risk some loss. I think I just used Gary's manual loads with whatever powder we had around.

Roman's rig is a G2 with Pachmayr furniture and a sling. Burris 2-7X on a Weaver alloy base with Burris Zee rings. It shoots .30-30 Win. perfectly while making cases. The barrel has no brake or porting and really does not need any.

Thanks Gary. I've got your manual. I've got some leverevolution and am hoping it will wring out a little more speed as it does in rifles. I'm loving the 14in contender barrel. It's amazingly accurate.

It’s all I really use, I’ve played with it exclusively . Speer 130 grain hollow point is a nice one, ftx 160’s both the .330 bc and the .395 bc versions have done well. Caution is best, I started with a calculated load of 39.5, and worked my way up from there. I measured the pressure ring area above the rim before and after shots, played with magnum and standard primers. I run them through a marlin 336. I have found shaken or longer drop tube allows the powder to naturally settle and helps reduce compression and gives more velocity. The exact same charge one drop tuned and not jut metered directly into the case. The same 150 grain ,in my case 150 grain Hornady sp interlock, loaded in 30-30 is 38.5 gr LVR. I will say that I have gone higher with the LVR load, but it works for me. 39.5 is a safe place to start, imho, I worked up in .2, .5 and so forth to find a great load.

Designed for the 300 blk, works well and allows the engineering and physics of the Projectile to maintain energy at the end of the effective range

I get better results out of LVR then H335. I feel it has been amazing in my Classic Hunter. I run about everything with LVR in 35 Rem, 30-30, 30-30 Ackley , and 30 GNR. It’s cheaper than some out there too. Yes, Gary’s load book is helpful.
