I’d like to load a bunch for the range and I’d like to save my H110. I think I can get 2 rounds using Longshot for every one with H110. Using 158gr jacketed.

I was thinking of using 10gr - 12gr.

Thoughts???

Yeah start at 10.0 I run 8.5 in my 10mm

With a 180 gr. (Revolver Load) for 1250 fps,. While that’s a necked case you have lots more capacity for a safety margin. It’s just about working up the load. Fantastic powder for 9mm,40 and 10, .45 anything. You are right a little goes a long way, burns clean.

It’s also stellar in the shotgun giving 15-20% boost in velocity at the same listed pressures. Just don’t double charge it! I’d never use it on a progressive press, period!

Yeah I’d follow that advice. I found another

Load where 10.0 Longshot was my loading. The .45 Super with a special 230 gr. RNGC cast at 1250 fps! The barrel is custom throated and 5.5”, NOT a swinging link 1911 either.

Hodgdon's max with a 357 Magnum is 8.4 grns...

With a 158 grn bullet. Probably best to start there and work up slowly.

I'd really think twice about starting too high. Easier to work up than to pull bullets.

Thanks Huey. Good point.
