just found out our liberal bitch mayor has

decreed that all businesses that deal with the public will shut down tonight at 8 PM and not re-open until this virus crap is over. That means pretty much all businesses, churches, restaurants, everything.
Apparently this will effect UPS and Fed EX plus the mail too as they all deal with the public. So I don't know what is going to happen. Our machine shop doesn't "interact with the public" so I guess we are OK. But there may be some blood shed over this crap. A lot of small businesses will go under if they are forced to close for 30 days. And if some young hard nosed cops come to their door telling them they have to shut down, the shit may hit the fan.

I am sorry to hear this Gary.

People will run out of food and supplies very quick like that. Some folks just don't have the spare cash to stock up on food, etc. Could get violent quickly...

PERHAPS THAT IS WHAT THEY WANT TO HAPPEN

Taco Bell. Stopping the USPS is a federal offense so if she does that, do you know any Federal Law enforcement? Might be a way to get rid of her.

Whoops, there it is.

I'm no epidemiologist -- and I can't see the future, nobody can -- but right now it seems to me that the economic damage and social mistrust caused by this type of panic-mongering is likely to damage the country far worse than anything the virus itself might do.

Hang in there Gary.

This is nuts. Maybe wait until there's actual evidence of one single local case before costing people their livelihoods?

I guess I read it differently. I don't see how it mandates closing your business.
