sights on a Marlin 1894C? I was thinking a Marble bullseye rear with a fiber optic front. My old eyes don’t do too well with the factory ones.

I have the XO but want to try Skinner

I have no business trying to struggle with a mid-mount rear sight anymore. It’s no use for me.

Go to Ranger Point Prescision and look at there sights.

scope on there, like a straight 4X. makes all the difference in the world. With the peep your eyes are struggling trying to keep the target and rear sight in focus and for hunting that can cost you a shot or even worse lose you a wounded animal. Burris used to make a short 4X scope that I put on Colleen's 458 I built her for Africa. That would be perfect for the short range 1894. I think they dropped it but both Leupold and Burris had 1-4X short scopes that would fit fine on the 1894. Or you might try one of the red dot sights. Our best seller is the Burris Fast Fire 3. If you are just going to shoot targets then the bullseye peep is fine.

I have a couple set up with this,

Used a Leupold variable scout scope. I shoot with both eyes open, dominant eye focuses well through scope.
I watch the bullet impact on game.

Skinner sights... Great owners
