Imagine I'm a visitor from planet "Patridge," who just landed on "planet bead front - shallow V rear." .... what is the ~customary~ purpose of the latter, pro's and cons, where does the bead go in relation to target and the rear shallow "V?"
The nearby relationship of references on patridge sure separate far and wide in the second 'world.' Is the same "precision" possible?

YOU HAVE TO FIGURE OUT HOW TO

HOLD THE SIGHTS FOR EACH INDIVIDUAL GUN. SIGHTS WERE PRETTY POOR UNTIL AFTER WWII.THE SHALLOW "V" REAR MATCHED UP WITH THE TAPERED "V" FRONT REQUIRE INTENSE CONCENTRATION ON MY PART. FOR ME SQUARE FRONT AND SQUARE REAR WORK THE BEST.

The latter offers quicker aquisition and is more

forgiving of different backgrounds, but patridge sights are more precise. But if you're in the shade shooting against a dark target all of the patridge precision may be gone...
