I have one in 45 colt that Gary did up in a Border Classic that nice...shoots well! PS JT 's books are the blame here for sure.
Lost an auction today for one. It was a 44/40.

Is there a difference in the Taylor's compared to the Ulberti? Besides bells and whistles.
our Border Classic is based on the Schofield

and we have built quite a few. The main thing is the sights. The sights are part of the barrel and no way to adjust them. I always tell guys that are going to send me a Schofield to turn into a Border Classic to shoot it first and make sure it is accurate and shoots to point of aim. We got one that shot 3 feet to one side and there was nothing we could do about it. I called it's owner and asked him if he still wanted us to customize it. He said to do it that he wanted to put it on display in a shadow box.
Looks like the #3 Russian has a windage adjustable...

had any adjustment. That rear piece was just a tab to pull up to open the gun. The Russian may be different.
I'll find out for us. Have a contact st Cimarron...

in pieces you will see there is really no way to move the rear sight. The hammer sits in the notch in the middle of the rear tang and the barrel is solid down at the round section at the base of the barrel. Some of the guns, like maybe the Russian, may be adjustable but none of the guns we worked on were.
ONLY LOOKS THAT WAY. TARGET MODELS DO

Not that it helps much. I think they are so ugly!

They don't feel much better to me either. They seem inherently frail and the only tactical advantage I can see it had was "Unloading" in a hurry. I give them that. Some point kind of interestingly to me, I think point shooting they would do very well. The smaller grip feels odd but good. I always liked the Remington grip too. Slow for me to cock and sights are (to me) invisible. I'd take one that was given to me but don't think I'd ever pay market for a spaghetti example myself.
I like the history, really with the foreign Govt's and all. But it never blew wind up my skirt. To each his own.
UGLY?? SEE ABOVE

I can see the front sight just fine, and for something different I might make the leap. I have plenty of other SAs and DAs. Balance to me seems good, and I have big hands. Not going to shoot my ruger loads out of it, but then again I don't need to for most applications. Now I just have to decide on caliber and barrel length.
Ugly? Compared to your Glocks?
