Not as small as some of the others. All steel, dead reliable, and good sights. Out of production, but available from J&G sales inexpensively. I paid $260 for mine.

Alcorn, I've been looking at those, how's the trigger?

or a person not totally familiar with the gun. We used to sell a lot of the Sig (due to their ads boasting things they don't live up to) but in almost every case we got them back in on trade due to the single action feature, so we dropped them totally. All it did was get the customer pissed at us as if we talked them into the gun. Not worth it when there are a lot better defense guns on the market.

I thought my Sig938 was going to be a smaller 1911 and I was wrong. I haven't found a reputable gunsmith that do trigger work on them. I didn't ask Gary because of previous discussion threads on the forum.

While a lot of people are Springfield fans..

.. I really like my XDS. It's not the smallest, but I found that anything smaller is hard for me to shoot well. It conceals very well for me and is really thin.

Should have said "are not Springfield fans"

I would check the Taurus or Ruger single stack 9mm

they are just as dependable as some of the other higher priced guns and have a much better warranty than Sig or Kahr. The Glock is excellent and always works but I don't think it would rank in there with the "small 9mms". Personally I would go with the Ruger EC9S. It is super slim and smaller in height than the Glock and is priced under $260, with Ruger's lifetime warranty. I don't see how you can go wrong on that one.

I went with the Taurus G2C , small package, 12 rds,

shoots 115gr and 124gr HP well .Barrel is 3.2".
I worked up some good loads using Longshot powder and
90gr Gold Dots, 115gr Nosler HP and 124gr HST bullets.
Ran everything with no problems.

the Taurus G2C is the best seller we have ever had

We can't keep them in stock. Like the Ruger I mentioned below they work every time, they are small (not quite as small as the Ruger, but close), they have a lifetime warranty and they run under $250. You just can't beat it.

You did say “smallest”, this is mine

Not everyone’s cup of tea. I have (3), P380, PM9, P40. I like the smooth DA trigger and accuracy. Real shootability for the small size. It was the smallest I could find that actually had useable sights. They have greatly diminished resale value so grand bargains can be found. This PM is a 6+1, back up mag is a 7-shot. The PM40 (!) is the same size but too much power for the chassis, a real beast.

There is a reason why they have poor resale

value. Wife had one that felt great in the hand but about every 2-300 rounds would break an extractor. First time they blamed reloads, so she shot only factory, about 200 rounds later it broke again. That time they said they used a newer style. When it broke the third time, I replaced the part and then traded it off.

thanks Amede, Amen and Amen

Diamonback DB9: https://diamondbackfirearms.com/portfolio/db9/

Been through a few revisions. Early ones were spotty on reliability. Not sure about the newest generation. Small enough that big hands might have trouble shooting.
