The mirage is swirling pretty good in the camera before the shot and I think you are able to see the bullet trail through the mirage.
My thoughts are: I hate to think of shooting that far

on a game animal.
Of course I hunt with an open-sighted handgun usually. If I have a rifle its my 30-30 Trapper with peep sights.
But I have seen shots taken at that kind of range and the animal move just enough before the bullet gets there to make it a gut shot.
I won't do it.
But that's me.
Way beyond my limits!

older ones) are jumping on the long range shooting. The long range stuff is fine for target shooting but a real hunter doesn't do silly stuff like that. He puts the HUNT back in hunting. put a sneak on the animal and get within decent shooting range. The animal deserves better than a long shot with a good chance of wounding the animal. I am a handgunner and long shots are not even something I would even think about.
If I hear correctly he says 414 yds or 1.8 mils

elevation, if that is all the distance he is shooting, he is a lousy shot, I count 4 shots missing, both over and under. looks like he needs to sight that rifle in again. Just my humble opinion
