I'm finally modernizing my handloading manual...

Gary says WB is stuck in the 1920s which puts him 40 years ahead of me.

I've been thinking about this and decided he was right.

So, I'm bringing my reloading data to a more modern approach. I think we should always update every century.

So, in the future I'll be using the 1937 Phil Sharpe's Complete Guide To Handloading in digital format.

Feels great to be up to date...

LOL, I just start over at square one every time.

And I think I have that dog eared book someplace... My LGD is out of No.80 though.

I still lean on 2400 and Unique Powders hard...

For modern 38-40 and 44-40 loads, this book is still my first "Go To" resource.

Powder formulas change, so the normal prudence of working up certainly applies.

But, I still reference Phil Sharpe and Ken Waters often.

I never said you two were living in the past,

although I often think it, and again quite often you two prove me right. Powders change. bullets change, new ones of each are often added to a never ending list of each. But why wake up Murphy? I prefer to let the old goat sleep and stick with what I know best and what has never failed me thru the years. 296, H-110, AA#9, AA#7, 1680, H-322, H-335, Rel.15, 3031, 4227. 4895, 4350, Unique, and one or two others. There is no cartridge I am ever going to use that I can't load with those 14 powders. And I don't have to waste what little time I have off trying to make some other powder work, when I know one of the above will do fine. So you two almost old goats go ahead and experiment and work up loads and squeeze little bullets to other shapes all you like. I think I will just take a nap.

Uncontrollably laughing.

If it ain't broke don't fix it.

My handgun powders are Bullseye ... Unique ... 2400 ... H110.
They do everything I need or want to do.

Square one is where I find myself a lot. I use Unique

a lot too-even though I don't like it. . .On loads I use a lot I typically refer to the label on the previous box of ammo, then double check against the dog eared magazine or book after I remember which one the load originated from. . .
