hunting bullet in full house 10mm auto!? The 180 gr DrP 10mm bullet is rated to hold together at a higher velocity than the 200gr. This one may be the best for a jacketed hunting bullet.

Won't know until I check the out...

Not crazy about posting speculation. Think the Sierra 170 grn will certainly be good in 10mm guns that feed it.

I have a 10mm Blackhawk in the works. I'll load some of the various 210s long and stuff plenty of powder behind them. Then check for accuracy, penetration and expansion. If they don't expand, will be no benefit over a hard cast bullet.

I think will be awesome in the TC Contender Barrels, both carbine and pistol length.

Thanks H!

Nice boar taken with the 10MM-200gr XTP

This 150lb boar was shot with the 401 GNR- 200gr XTP at 1900 fps, the hog dropped in it's tracks. You see the shot placement, no autopsy/bullet recovery done. But performance was very good, shot was only 50 yards.
I have shot many 10MM -180gr and 200gr Nosler and Hornady XTP's into test medium over the years and the Nosler bullets ALWAYS retain more weight( close to 100%) and the Hornady ALWAYS penetrates a little deeper, simply because the Nosler expands and does not loose any jacket material and the Hornady XTP peels away (ie: looses some of the jacket material) and that allows the bullet to continue to penetrate a little farther.

The XTPs are always my first choice...

AFTER GOING THROUGH A COW ELK

Bullet strike was on the left side behind the shoulder. We rolled the elk over and on the right side was a lump. I split it with my knife and popped the bullet out.

This is THE bullet I used on for years on deer out of the sixgun and also from a Marlin levergun.

They always worked.

They are without peer in my book!!!

I bought 1,100 a short time back at $7/100 as blem bullets. A few tarnish spots, but function as expected.

I shoot them in both my 41 Magnum revolvers, Henry Steel Lever Action and even reduced loads in my Ruger #1 405 Winchester.

Then again, we all have our favorites...

Thanks Sean!
