I’m needing to buy some case lube and was wondering what the consensus of the guys here that do a lot of wildcat Cartridges reaming up and down.

Meant “sizing wax”

the brass in a brass block and spray the brass good with the One Shot and set it aside while you get your dies and powder ready, 10 minutes max. Then just size and load as normal. The spray won't hurt anything if some of it gets in the case.

On necked down cartridge I still like the old RCBS case lube. A couple of tiny drops on a lube pad and you are set.

What about resizing? I.E. .204 to .243?

the cases before sizing the up to 243. And I haven't lost any that I can think of. I start with 22 caliber, sizing it up in the 223, then from there to 243. Some say it works for them going from 20 caliber right up to 243. If you anneal the necks and use a good lube inside the necks you shouldn't have any problems at all.

That reminds me

On a reloading site once a guy put what’s the secret to analling? I answered I have no personal experience but I would think a really good lube and lots of it. No one seem to catch on.

must have been no folks from San Francisco on that site

CASES WHICH GO THROUGH A CARBIDE SIZER. REDUCES THE EFFORT REQUIRED CONSIDERABLY.

John is right on that. Even with carbide dies

where supposedly you don't need to lube, sizing can be hard on a dry somewhat dirty case. I put my brass in the loading blocks, spray them good with One Shot and get my powder set up and if I am loading a lot of different ammo I get those cases sprayed too. Then in 10 minutes or so the One Shot has dried and is ready to load. It makes sizing so much easier.

I do that with the 357 max and 445 SM cases

works well on straight wall, but the RCBS lube is what is needed when forming cases. I have stuck a couple of 355 GNR cases using one shot, not with the RCBS lube.

Imperial sizing die wax

For 300GNR. It works best while still wet. Back when i used the RCBS case lube, STP oil treatment worked just as well,,, i don’t know if they still make STP oil treatment, haven’t seen it for years.
