Does anyone know what the street price will be on the new Python? I know it will high the first year or so its out, but was wondering if it will be a lot cheaper than the old ones? they want like $2500 and up around where I live, don't know if there getting that but that's what everybody wants for them.

list price is $1500. For the first year or so

I don't imagine they will be much lower than that.

They are selling on gunbroker for 3K+ with 20 bidders and

those people are crazy as in many instances you can get the like new old model SS 6" for about the same price. People just have to pay large just to be the first one at their gun club with one. I think I will just wait until the mania dies down. BTW, have not seen any of the 4" yet.

when I talked to John Taffin this afternoon,

he said one of the other gun writers had received a 4" model.

3 grand on gunbroker already huh, that's just insane to me but to each there own I guess, sounds like this may help Colt's business a lot, Anaconda's will probably be not to far behind then.

the only problem with that thinking is that

the normal dealer price goes to Colt. That extra 2 grand is going in that shyster's pocket. Any time something new and special is released there are some crooks there to take advantage of it. I hope the guys that see those dealers doing that will remember their names and feel free to tell their buddies to stay away from those shysters.

Kinda silly isn’t it

The ones on Gunbroker that start at MSRP and then get bid up I don’t really blame the seller on those but the ones that start at $2,000 just ain’t right. I guess some people just have to be the first to own something. It is like the nuts that get in line a day or so before a new movie is released

for all you guys asking about the Python,

here you go. I just talked to John Taffin and he said "the Python is a good gun". So there. And the new Ruger 22 down below the pictures of the Python are obviously another winner for Ruger. All you small game hunters, that should be on your bucket list. Nuff said.

I do like that 10” Mark IV
