100 grain projectiles, anyone have a good load?

then you should be able to work up, if that's what you want. BlC-2 is pretty bulky and forgiving, would provide a brilliant muzzle flash, even in daylight! LOL I really like H322 and AA2520 did real well too. My son killed a Ram at HHC with his a couple years back. He used the 150 gr. Speer and H4895 powder. Velocity was around 2400 fps from the 12" barrel.

It was his second handgun animal at a HHC.

His first was a little Russian Hog using a 7mm-08 and 120 gr. at about 2500 fps and a little bit longer barrel using a MOA Maximum handgun.

Great start. I’ve worked some 130 grainers, but was going to play with some 100. I have some fireformed already, going to dial some in. I’m pleased with the 30 in a marlin 336. When seeing the 476 GNR, by comparison, then thought “Oh Man!” Pictures are one thing but relative comparison is a whole other influence. How to break in 2020, with a next purchase???? Thank you.

for a one gun rig for my boy. He can always shoot Wal-mart .30-30 through it too. I am partial to my 7mm version, the 7 GNR.

I took the .476 GNR up as a challenge. With TrailBoss and .480 Ruger bullets it is a total pussycat. A 10 yr. old could shoot it. Then I could pummel one with a 500+ gr. load if you were a true masochist. In the middle, a 400-425 gr. load at 1500 fps is easy to shoot and will blast through a Buffalo nose to tail. As much fun as you can stand, you only need a bit of creative imagination.

33 grains of 4198 will give you 2710. And 39 grains of AA 2520 will get you 2775. Drop those loads by 3 grains and work up.
