I would like you to make a Magnum Research BFR 45/70 platform into a 50/110. Gary will you make it if you can make it so?

I know exactly 1 guy that did that..he didnt keep it long

pretty brutal on your hands and wrists with just an 80% load and I find the 500 Linebaugh loaded to about 85% to be about as much as I care to shoot 5 consecutive rounds from in a SA revolver. Be careful with that kind of power level potential.

Just for the fun of it a .50 AK would be better except

there may be some custom factory ammo available that would smack you in recoil. Otherwise, with discretion, it would allow a whole host of ammo that the gun could shoot. .50 Bowen, .510 GNR, .500 Linebaugh, .500 Max., and .50 AK.

All of it, mostly too powerful, and inefficient, to be fun except for the first two. It would be a sort of neat show piece just because. The .510 holes might be a good thing, making the 6 lb. revolver a little lighter.

When I get to it, I want GNR to make me an Encore barrel in .50 AK for the same reason. Like Denning said if I have some wheelgun loads too hot, or I would prefer shooting from a 6 lb. platform, I can.

There's a guy on youtube that always shoots big bore rifle's and revolver's, I think his name is Arbee or something like that and he has several custom BFR's chambered in .458 Winchester on up to .50 Alaskan. Looks like a good way to get hurt to me, but to each there own! He's a good shot with them but it looks like he shakes a lot before he pulls the trigger. I've learned I don't care to shoot flinch makers anymore.

Whats the difference in 50 Ak and 50-110?

Would be cool to be able to shoot all of those out of one Encore barrel!

You will need a 14"+ barrel to get a decent

powder burn.Anything shorter and most of the powder will blow out the barrel.

I am sure we can. making it is no problem. Making

it accurate is the hitch. With it in the barrel only a very short time, the accuracy suffers and as Sean mentioned, your power would be way down due to probably half the powder not burning in a revolver barrel. But I am sure we can do it. The case is longer than the 45-70 case so we would need to be sure the 50-110 would fit in the cylinder. A loaded round would be pushing 3".
