have had no monsoon at all, for the first time since recorded weather. In a normal year with the heavy monsoon rains we should be hip deep in tall grass now but all we have is dry crinkly grass, pretty much dead. Our first frost is usually around Labor Day weekend but here it is 2/3 of the way thru September and no frost yet. And they can't blame it on global warming as it was just the opposite earlier this year with a cooler May and early June. The hot June is what helps the Monsoon to start around July 4th, but the cooler weather kept the storms from developing.

Not sure how this is going to effect our snows that are due in about a month. If we don't have the moisture we don't get the snow and that could cause heavy forest fires next spring and summer.

I guess we shouldn't whine as we aren't under 30" of rain. But we could use a little of that.
