you look closely most items sold by Home Depot, Sears, Lowes and others you will see Made In China on them too. A lot of the high dollar lathes, milling machines and other larger tools are also Made in Chine. Get used to it.
And back in Herter's day, in the late 60s and early 70s they didn't make anything. They imported them and had their name put on it, much like Cabelas does today. And back then we didn't have all the Chinese stuff coming in. Most of it was Jap made and people bitched about that back then too.
