relaxes to allow easy extraction. I used some .300 GNR cases way past their normal life (maybe 15-20 reloads?) and they can get sticky as elasticity goes away. Everything can wear out. I had some hot loads I was experimenting with and found if I shortened the necks on the cases by 50% the extraction with the same load was notably easier. Just an observation. Now a .300 GNR has very thick sturdy brass thickness, being made from cut off .30-30 win., so others might exhibit differing traits. FWIW
