is named after a ponderosa pine flagpole made by a scouting party from Boston on July 4, 1876 in order to celebrate the United States Centennial. At least that is the story some tell.
Had a nice visit with a pleasant young Asian man who runs a gun shop. The old guy who was there also seems to think it is his, but you could tell who really knew what was going on.
I am looking forward to a nice visit tomorrow also. In the meantime we will take in the sights, visit the party spots ... or I may take a nap.
