Since the 1680 eliminated the primer flow in the 256 Winchester, I decided to try it in the 25-20. It had previously suffered from the same issue with faster burning powders.
Sure enough the problem vanished. Even with full throttle loads and heavy bullets.
Loads were snappy and very accurate. The fast 1 in 10" twist was very forgiving. No leading and cleaned with one patch.
Never too old to learn. Have plenty of 1680, so the bulk ammo is coming.
