A couple years ago I left my job after 32 years of service. It was devistating to my family and to me as it was part of my identity. I took a very nice position at a college in western NYS. It’s a great place and I’m mostly happy there....but....it’s 500 miles from home and family and, we aren’t making ends meet.
I’ve been applying for positions that look interesting to me but none have come to fruition.
Recently a position became available that I have coveted for years. It’s close to home and is a great match for my skill set.
I’ve applied and now we wait. The competition is stiff and there are a lot of applicants. I’ll need clear the scrutiny of the executive search firm, a preliminary search committee and a final search committee.
May I please ask that you remember me in your prayers????
