the bolt face is already too large for the rim of the 460. It may work on the 336. Each of these guns is a one of a kind gun. Everything done by hand. This is why Marlin said it couldn't be done. They can't afford to do each gun piece by piece. It took us several weeks to get the first one working flawlessly with the 500. The Marlin 336 is a totally different polecat. It will take us even longer to get it to perform and function the way I want it. But we are working on it right now. So keep your fingers crossed.
