friend from out of town. Bill Rooney stopped in and did some trading. I like to give you guys first shot at guns that come in the door so here they are. First a bit of a rare one. With Ruger scaling back the manufacture of their great #1 rifles, some models are harder to find than others. This is an S model in 243. A great packing gun for deer or antelope. The S model was always popular for it's lightweight and ease of carrying. This little beauty is chambered in 243, a great caliber for deer and such. The gun is probably in 95% condition with like new bluing and great wood. It dates back to the mid 80s but has been a safe queen. Book value shows $1150. It is priced at $895 plus shipping.

Next is a Winchester model 12 made in 1946. It is an early 3" magnum. It has the 30" full choke barrel on it and the somewhat rare solid rib. The gun is in very good condition for it's age. The bluing is strong and the wood is solid with no cracks. It has the normal small dings and scratches from over 70 years of use but nothing bad and the pad is the original red Winchester pad. A good working gun with a lot of character. We shot it and it shoots and ejects fine. The book shows between $750 and $775 on this one. It is priced at $595 plus shipping.
