A part of my professional duties are to manage laboratory operations and limited specific research projects. I am empathetic as to the huge variations there must have been in "Crusher" fixtures. The only uniformity must have been one test facilities data as a whole. I'd not venture as to the comparison to another like grouping without some industrial standard.

PSI is universal and easier for me to relate and understand. My SCUBA tanks are scary at 3,300 psi rolling around in the sunshine in my boat.
