I just shot my 280 GNR for the first time, Wow is all I can say! I shot it as a carbine and it has absolutely no recoil, now the concussion off the brake is another story. What impressed me the most was how tight the chamber is, the neck barely needs any sizing to hold another bullet. I didn’t have any H-4350 as suggested so I used 54.0 grains of IMR-4831 under a 162 grain Hornady ELD-X bullet. I used 280 AI data from Hodgdon, is this normally acceptable starting data?
