the old 16. I keep a clone around of the one my Grandfather gave me at 12. An old Stevens double. It took a while but I found a case of Purple Federal shells, Duck & Pheasant #6 I think. They kick the snot out of you. But the sentimental value.
My OTHER Grandfatehr had a Savage semi-auto, I think a 720. Sort of a modified Auto-5 but a more rounded receiver. It too kicked like the blazes. Shot so tight a full choke pattern it was easy to miss something inside of 30 yds. I may end up with it too. Uncle Lloyd has it.
