a nice advantage of being able to digest cheap .40 S&W ammo too, which is cool. People throw away .40 S&W brass and hoard 10mm. Only Glock 20's, but I have seem two variations that will shoot and cycle both .40 S&W and 10mm (the actual chambering) by headspacing off the extractor. I'm not condoning it, just stating fact. I'd sure not try that with a normal 1911 though. The Glock sort of manages it like a Mauser, sliding the ctg. under the extractor before it's chambered. An odd trait of the design. I even converted my G21 to 9mm Luger with a special barrel and spring, using the same .45 ACP extractor!
A GP100 size 10mm would be and is the tits. Oddly both my GP and Doug's SA Reeder Ruger 4", neither sport velocity drops compared to the locked breach semi-auto 10mm. No performance drop at all.
