18” is about perfect for a rifle/carbine

I have had Gary’s barrels in 16”,18”,20”,and 22”. And for me the best balance is 18” both in speed (fps) and handling. The 16” Encore pistols are unwilling, hard to shoot off hand. Both of those would be great thumpers, the 378 would be a better all around cartridge with a 30-06 trajectory. The 416 should should still be flat enough to 200 yards for us commoners. Sounds like a fun setup.
