we took the 510 GNR and put that short neck on it down to .500 and it boosted the velocities a bit, about like adding another 2 grains of powder. But with only a very slight boost in pressure.
The same went with our 429 GNR and the 410 GNR. That slight neck on the 454 case boosted the power and velocities of both cartridges considerably.
