It is mostly overrated except for companies that promote their rifles or cartridges as being more accurate at 800 to 1000 yards or like the new 224 Valkyrie which they push as accurate to 1300 yards which is about as useful as a pussy hat on Scott Boggs. Me being a handgun hunter I never look at the BC as for me it is useless. I am never going to shoot any of my handguns over 250 to 275 yards and then only on that perfect shot, so the long range BC is a non important thing.
