in fact this one by one book says was made very early, in the first year. Another collector book says it was made in the second year of production. The gun is a 26" octagonal barreled 32-40. It is in good mechanical shape and I wouldn't be afraid to shoot it at all. It is in pretty good shape for being 120 years old. It has some dings and scratches and someone must have got him a deer with it as he "engraved" a deer on the butt stock. All in all it is a real American classic. It has several features that say it was a special order. Three of my close friends that know a lot more about early Model 94s than I do told me it was a real classic and one that is pretty rare. Both stated that it should sell for $1500 to $2000 but I like to price things right and move them along. So this old classic is priced at $1295 plus shipping.
