Taking the two stock guns in 44 magnum, does one have less felt recoil while shooting same ammunition? I've never held a super redhawk much less shot one. They look heavier.

the recoil on the Super Redhawk (in theory) will be much

less than on the single action due to the Super Redhawk being much heavier.

I have both and I agree the SRH is much better with recoil

fire Garrett ammo out of both and the felt recoil was only slightly more in the RK. Both are fine revolvers and I really like the 44 mag for deer in a SRK with a burris 2X7 on it set to about 3X. Just my opinion of two of my favorite guns. That and $5 won't buy anything at Starbucks......

WITH SUPER REDHAWKS IN .454 AND .44 MAGNUM SIMPLY BECAUSE THE FELT RECOIL IS SUBSTANTIALLY LESS FOR MY TIRED OLD HANDS THAN THE SINGLE ACTIONS IN THE SAME CHAMBERINGS.

Thank you all. I assumed so but, ya know.....

I have a 9.5" Super in .429 GNR that shoots

a 310 gr. bullet at 1600 fps. Recoil is flippy but it does not hurt my hand, wrist, knuckles. Many SA guns hit one or all the aforementioned. Some call it homely but it is a fine handling machine.

Top rig in a pile of .44's.

The SRH is a fine revolver, a bit heavy for some but

a fine revolver nevertheless. BUT, it simply doesn't fit my hand. I assume it is due to the lack of a real gripframe where we could build a set of grips that do fit my hand. The regular Redhawk fits me perfectly and I shoot it fairly well. And again I assume it is because of the custom grips. The Redhawk has an actual gripframe where the SRH doesn't. This is one of my Redhawks.

Even my bastardized S&W in 410 GNR got grips changed. I put a set of nice wood grips on it but they felt like crap so, as much as I hate rubber grips, I went back to finger groove rubber grips and it now fits me.

I have always felt it the gun doesn't feel right in your hand and fit right, you will never be able to shoot it well, and the SRH grips are just too big and bulky for my hand.

I do like the looks of the 9.5. Hoping to find a shop or
