coating,when fired the thin coating allows the steel to engage the rifling.Steel on steel and no lube,use it if you have a $50.00 gun and don't care about it.Lots of ranges both indoor and outdoor ban the use of it for 2 reasons.First,they destroy steel targets shortly and outdoors they are a fire hazard. Steel against rock can cause a spark and out West it doesn't take much at all to start a fire in the warm months.Some of the local clubs will ck your ammo with a magnet.Like Gary stated,STAY AWAY FROM IT besides,its made in Eastern European countries.
