I have used pretty much nothing but a 2X or 3X scope on my 41 GNR and 410 GNR since Hell froze over and that has worked perfect for me. The red dot Burris is a great red dot and great for combat shooting and such but not for hunting out to 50 to 100 yards (at least not for me). Go to a gun shop that has several brands and see which one is clearest to your eyes and go with that one. Stay away from NCStar, BSA or some of the other super cheap junk.
