Pac Boots ,HunterII for colder weather,Guide AVV that are uninsulated.They are handmade by round eyed people,have an bob sole that sticks to the ground like no other's also they can be rebuilt and they are very quite not like the loud stiff soled boots. Meindl Denali is another boot I use after much modification to the sole and the slanting forward heel.Using a sharp serrated knife I cut the slant out,open heels hold better going down hill.Then i used a Dremel tool with a cutter tool installed and cut extra deep groves in the lugs.In a couple of months I'll be ordering a pair of boots form Russell Moccasin Company,High Country Hunter model.They have HEELS,bob sole & can be rebuilt.
