I think any of those bullets would do fine. This elk was with a 240 gr. Remington. Full pass through, taking out both lungs. I know it's no big bull but I think the principal will be the same. With a 44 i would avoid the shoulder and go for a lung shot with a bullet that will do major soft tissue damage. I have a deer and elk tag as well this year. Still trying to decide what I will use. Probably just end up using my old faithful 280gnr.
