Ryan at the archives of HHI posts scanned copies of old HHI publications. I know several Misfits have been past contributors and it may even have brought you to Reeder Custom Guns. JD is an old acquaintance of Gary’s. It is impressive how they paralleled in the industry without stepping on each other’s toes too much. A testament to both men’s sense of professionalism.

I was bestowed by a good misfit friend with the keeping of the flame on an old .256 Win. Contender. I’ve never worked with it but always wanted to. I have rigged up the pieces to do a vintage period kit, scope, mount and all. Soon I'll do a post about it. Then this piece falls into my lap. I think this helps illustrate it's more the hunter than the piece!

It’s still good reading even dated a bit. James, Michael, even Alcorn, I’m sure others contributed to the sport with handgun hunting tales in the past years HHI newsletter. With blogs these days it’s almost obsolete. The spirit however lives on. Give Ryan a holler at HHI.
