Real pocket “pocket” pistols.

I carry the .380 a lot. But I don’t really like it. Good sights though, I like them on such a small gun. The best HP ammo only pokes a .35 cal. hole through. I’m not overwhelmed with penetration. On sick goats anyway. The Beretta .22 is great on the tractor or mowing for snakes. But the reliability suffers because of the mags. In a pocket, the waxy .22 LR picks up lint and grit. It locks up the elevator. The mags are skeletonized too, making the problem worse. The little gun is quite accurate and will run great, WITH a clean grit free mag. The antique little Astra is flawless. It does exactly what it was designed to do, SIX times, every time. If I could see the sights it would shoot into a teacup at 50 yds, really! Colt contracted Astra several times to make them some guns under the table, so they could market them. A hit with something is better than a miss with anything I figure. I like it.

Im breaking out the .22 wheel guns. I’d about kill for a 2” M34 S&W. My 63 and SP101 will have to do.

Correction the M43 S&W 2”

Airweight snubby .22 with adj. sights. My uncle had one. He loved it. I don’t think he ever carried it OR shot it. Kept it in a lightly oiled rag. Took it out occasionally to show it off and foster envy.

S&W 317

Is superlight to the point of silliness...

How do you like Kahr?

I came close to buying a 9mm in a lgs, but someone got it before I could get back. I hear good things about them, I am intrigued at the long trigger pull and overall quality as a hideout type for cc.

The Kahr is basically a flat DA revolver.

It’s not going to accidentally fire, no worry with dropping. The pull is smooth, light, and consistent all the way through with no stacking. Takes some getting used to, easier than a Glock for me.

The P380 I tolerate due to the good sights and tiny size. It’s been very reliable for me. The PM series is shorter slide, and grip frame. The P series itself is the premium of the line with machined parts, dovetailed metal front sight, Walther polygonal barrels. A P covert is a longer P slide with a PM shorter grip frame. They do have an all stainless series too, really premium.

The CM series and C are MIM parts, plastic front sight, and normal rifled barrels. Actually a bargain usually used. All Kahrs can be found really discounted used.

I have a PM45, P40 Covert, P9 too. I had a PM9 but I shot more accurately with the bigger guns. Except that .380, I need to practice. I carry it daily.

That a PM9 compared to a M60 Smith.

The Glock is a 30s and the PM45. It will run 1911 mags, but GI type or spec only.

Top gun is a P40 covert.

I really want to find one in the wild and check it out!

Don't jump at a high priced one. They depreciate

something awful. I don't know why. Maybe not high-capacity enough. Not "trendy". They have a new model, the X-series that addresses this. I might have to try one myself, get 3-4 extra carry shots. They also have accessory rails, and I think mounting for optics. That is sadly more in my future.

The Kahr X9 is the same size as a SIG365

same weight too, not as pretty... But I cannot confirm the thickness. The SIG is right at one inch wide. A real standard of a daily carry. Just big enough to afford control and accuracy, good firepower, but small. Forget you have it.

Kahr is playing catch up in the market to SIG. However they are very clever. But I'd feel more safe (from myself) carrying a trigger system like Kahr, over the delightful, target trigger SIG.

I like that!

Just no one local even carries them, and I'd like to handle one first. Gun shows are strictly hit or miss.

That has caused me to buy lots (!) in my life.

I always figured if I could scratch the money together to order one, I could try and flip it after I tested and experienced it. But in reality it don’t work out that way. I want to keep them all!

I would like to see what it is like DA shooting with a red dot.
