Since I DO have an old .38 WCF M73 that is an unsettling concern. With the .401 GNR there is really no need to risk it.
If you have not tried the .401 GNR, it is great, a baby .410 GNR indeed. On cheaper .44 Mag. brass. More of a neck down than the .41 GNR, that is pretty good itself.
