Tinkering at my desk, ACE Hardware is good!
They literally have a “gun screws” section locally. I was able to get the (3) 6:48 slotted short screws I needed for the old Lobo base. No trimming needed. Also I found a couple copper wash #4 Phillips wood screws to hold the bottom plate. I would have preferred slotted but all they had was chrome. They will be fine.
The barrel and frame need refinishing. Maybe a flat-side job?!

I have an even older vintage scope but after examining the sliding griped base I think it’s only fit for a .22 RF. The 3x Lobo will be great for the .256 Win. barrel.
