use ANY powder, with a little ingenuity. From Bullseye and a tuft of blanket stuffing to 20mm Vulcan propellant. I can cast a bullet and make it shoot. Gary's toilet tissue stuffing will set the woods on fire, but it works basically like Dacron Polyester (which doesn't melt or burn). I have used Unique, 2400, 4227, and 1680. The old Lyman Cast Bullet Handbook has some loads to point one in the direction. Capacity is about the same as a .30-06, just takes a little adapting. The .375 bullets will have less pressure than the .308's.
